Thank you for your comment! German toilets have always bothered me. My German friend says that most Germans don't see anything wrong with them, and they often keep a toilet brush right next to the toilets to clean the shelves off. And the shelf is supposed to prevent splashing, but that still doesn't quite justify them...
I can't believe I'm writing so much about toilets, but it's quite an interesting subject!
